Senior Vice President, Customers Oracle's Primavera

Richard K. Faris is Senior Vice President of Oracle's Primavera solutions. The business unit was formed when Oracle acquired Primavera Systems in November 2008, and focuses on enterprise project portfolio management solutions for project-intensive industries. As cofounder and Executive Vice President of Primavera, Mr. Faris led product development at Primavera for more than 25 years. His technical and product vision enabled Primavera to keep pace with innovations in computer hardware and software by developing and shipping more than 60 releases of 12 distinct project portfolio management products.

Before founding Primavera, Mr. Faris spent 13 years planning, designing, managing, and controlling capital projects in the transportation industry and developing transportation network simulation systems. Prior to this, Mr. Faris was Vice President at Day and Zimmermann, an engineering consulting firm headquartered in Philadelphia, and was a project manager for the City of Philadelphia and at Booz Allen Hamilton, a management consulting firm.

Mr. Faris is a registered professional engineer and is an active member of several professional societies, including the Project Management Institute (PMI), the American Association of Cost Engineers (AACE), and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He is a founding director of the PMI College of Scheduling.

Mr. Faris earned BS and MS degrees in civil engineering from Villanova University
